If your online efforts are not resulting in sales, then learn article marketing secrets that can unlock your potential to make money online. I have found that failure can often indicate that a person is missing only one key piece of information.

Once upon a time, many years ago, I just could not get the hang of survival floating while trying to earn a Red Cross badge. Of course it did not help that the entire summer our instructor wore a swim suit but did not get wet even once!

Then another instructor came along, got in the water and SHOWED me what I was doing wrong. One simple thing. That is all it took and I not only earned the award but I actually enjoyed survival floating.

Just one thing. Maybe it is a secret, maybe not. But if you do not know it, it is a secret as far as you are concerned.

How many article marketing secrets are preventing you from online success?

Maybe just one.

I want to cover just a few things here that I feel are important if you want to succeed online.

First, write as yourself. You can use a pen name but stay away from trying to be something you are not. Never will I write from the perspective of a bad guy former black ops who can do anything because it just will not come across believable.

Second, connect with your reader. Tell a story, like I did above. People love stories, just keep them simple and make sure they have a POINT.

So you want to at least try to attract an agent and publishing house before you resort to self publishing your book? There is no guarantee that your query will attract the attention of an agent – but there are definitely missteps that will quickly rule it out! Sometimes it seems the list of Don’ts is longer than the Do’s:

Don’t call a prospective agent.
Don’t send snail mail.
Don’t email agents without first researching whether they handle your genre. (i.e. Non-Fiction, Fiction, Inspiration, Romance, etc.).
Don’t say the wrong things in your query letter. (There is a list, trust me. Identify it. Obey it.)
Don’t send to more than one prospective agent at a time.
Do send to more than one prospective agent at a time.

OK, do send to more than one prospective agent if you want and the website says it’s OK, but be sure to let each agent know if you do. I know, I know. It can be confusing. All you want to do is share your life’s masterpiece and now you have yet one more maze to navigate. They say “Life is a journey” for a reason!

The first step is to relax. Breathe. This, too, can be exciting.

Just think! Somewhere out there may be the person who is perfectly positioned to not just believe in your story, but help move it through that next critical step toward publishing.

Your goal is to find your new best friend.

Building rapport with your audience is essential to being a successful speaker. If not you most likely will not be a speaker very long. A few months before going to a location for your talk, you want to start doing your homework for the upcoming presentation. To begin with what is your niche? Are you qualified to give a talk for the subject at hand? Are you going to be able to talk the language, this audience will understand? You don’t want to talk over the people, yet not under them either.

If you will give great information that is targeted to this specific crowd, then you’ll come out a winner every time! You can start off by greeting every single person that comes into the auditorium. If that’s where you’re speaking at. This little trick starts building a bond with each and everyone sitting there. That way their already rooting for you, to give them a good talk!

Wikipedia: Rapport is one of the most important features or characteristics of subconscious communication. It is commonality of perspective: being “in sync” with, or being “on the same wave length” as the person with whom you are talking. There are a number of techniques that are supposed to be beneficial in building rapport such as: matching your body language (i.e., posture, gesture, etc.) maintaining eye contact and matching breathing rhythm.

Illustrate the Solution: Every press release should be written in the style which should tell the reader about how the problems will be resolved with your information. Use real life examples also use some testimonials to show how problems of different customers were resolved previously.

Tell some achievements:Don’t be shy to tell about the short term and long term achievements by the organization or the company. It is always a good idea to describe about the milestones and the achievements to the readers. It will create a positive image of the organization in the mind of the readers.

Revoke All the Secrets: Press release doesn’t mean to tell each and everything about the company, new product or the new improvements. You should always tell the important points in the news and draw the reader towards your website if you want larger impact on your sales.

Always tell truth: You should always tell the true picture of the news in the content. Try not to fluff. This will create a negative impact in the minds of the reader. Nonetheless readers will come to know about actual story and at that moment you will lose all your credibility.

Use Active Voice: Active voice has greater impact on the speech that passive voice. Always try to write in active voice. This will enhance the readability with more clear meanings and impact.

Economize Your Words: Always remember the 7 Cs of active and impressive communication. Your text should be comprehensive yet concise. Your text should be tactful yet concrete. Carefully chosen words have always greater impact and returns rather chatty and verbose text.

Various authors have various reasons for self-publishing. If you’re aiming to write and publish your book, you need to think about your own personal motives for doing this. You should make certain your reasons are strong and valid so you can get on and possibly become successful. You’d need more guts since it is just thrilling and economically draining.

When no publishing service is willing to take chances on you, you could choose to publish your book by yourself. Get ready to take care of almost everything, from writing, to editing, to publishing, and marketing.

An author is declined by any big publisher because of many clear and logical causes. First, he may be unknown to the book community. Deal with the truth. The majority of successful book authors are celebrities or icons within their own fields.

One other reason for any author to go self-publishing is that he seriously wants total editorial and artistic freedom. The writer might not agree with any modifications needed by the publisher. It’s common for a lot of authors to avoid criticisms and alterations especially if they consider them as destructive for their ego.

The writer may be targeting to take total control and rights to the intellectual facet of the book. Maybe he feels he needs to ensure that the rights, sales, database, and fame of the book remain his. After that, he could be motivated by the low over-all publishing cost of the book.

If authors haven’t any other resort like self-publishing, the history of book publishing industry may have probably been different. Many of the most remarkable booksellers worldwide were classics that originally ware published individually by authors.

Confessions of a Serial Writer
April 3rd, 2010 by admin in Writing No Comments

Whether it’s just a note, an email to friends, or a long epistle on some philosophical subject, you can identify the traits of a serial writer quickly…they have something to say about most everything…and in writing.

How do I know? Because I am one. I make notes all the time…sometimes it’s a header topic that pops into my brain. Sometimes it’s just 140 characters for a ‘tweet.” Sometimes it’s a brainstorm of ideas that I know I have to get down on paper because I want to share my thoughts on them, or figure out how to use them to help someone else improve their business…or their life.

Some of the stuff I write down is really worthwhile. Ideas that can help generate income. Information shared in a different way that helps increase understanding of a concept. Sometimes it’s about connections from old marketing ideas that can and should be used with today’s new social media tools to increase knowledge, awareness, and business.

And…some of the stuff I write down…is totally worthless. Throw-away thoughts and ideas that either, upon reflection really don’t make much sense, or aren’t in any way new, novel, or helpful.

The point is, though, when you’re a serial writer, the pencil or pen is never far from your hand. Articles you read, old or new movies, television programs and news….you look for and see connections that relate to how the world works, and how to communicate those connections in meaningful ways. When you sit down to write, your fingers fly over the keyboard as the ideas spill out, and then get refined…over and over…until they’re ready to publish.
